Criadores da Raça
Lista não exaustiva de criadores de CAP em Portugal
If you are looking to buy a puppy, make sure you are dealing with a serious breeder whose priority is the welfare of his dogs and puppies.
The Clube Português de Canicultura (CPC) – is the official entity in Portugal that registers litters and recognizes breeders. Therefore, find out if the breeder you have chosen is duly registered by CPC.
You should visit the breeder and see the dogs in their environment. During that visit, try to see if the puppies are happy and socialized and take the opportunity to find out if the puppies are vaccinated, dewormed and have a microchip. Also remember that puppies should only go to their permanent home when they are at least 8 weeks old.
Finally, make sure that your puppy is properly registered and has its pedigree documentation (LOP). Puppies that have CPC registration documentation are from a recognized and serious breeder.
